MountainElements Workshop, Friday, May 9, 2 p.m., Kern Youth Center, Lake Junaluska
The MountainElements workshops are part of the continuing effort to conduct the Health Impact Assessment for the eight county region. The workshops are your opportunity to help us identify and define specific action steps that will be documented in the HIA and the Health & Wellness elements of each County’s Comprehensive Plan. While we know that access to healthcare is one part of being healthy, there are many other facets and measures of health within our region that can be addressed that will ultimately improve overall community health and position the region for better access to care and healthy living options.
